# WmBigRegisterInterface

A .NET client for the Dutch BIG-register (the public register of licensed healthcare professionals): validates BIG numbers and verifies a practitioner's registration through the register's SOAP web service. Extracted from the WMIT-era WmBlogManager, where it gated medical content behind a healthcare-professional check.

The problem it solved (is this reader a licensed clinician?) is timeless in Dutch medical publishing; this was the 2000s answer.

## Status: as is

Released as a historical artifact in 2026, unmaintained. The BIG-register has since replaced this SOAP service; published for reading and archaeology.
